How to convert audio to text
- Choose a clear recording and select its spoken language.
- Read and accept the audio-processing notice, then choose Transcribe audio.
- Review the text and subtitle timing. Copy the transcript or download TXT, SRT or VTT.
Supported languages
English, Spanish, German, French, Hindi, Chinese, Arabic and Persian. Accuracy varies with the language, accent, recording quality and speaker overlap. Select one main language per recording.
Questions about audio transcription
Is my recording processed locally?
Your browser prepares a mono speech copy. The transcription itself runs through Groq, using Whisper Large v3 Turbo. Only request it for audio you have permission to process. The original filename is not sent to Groq.
Can I transcribe Persian and Arabic?
Both are selectable. The text fields support right-to-left writing. Review names, numbers and regional accents carefully. We do not promise perfect transcription or a measured accuracy for a particular accent.
Can I use a video recording?
An MP4 or WebM recording may work if your browser can decode its audio. Unsupported or protected recordings cannot be opened. The same file and duration limits apply.
What happens when I cancel?
Cancel stops waiting in this page. A request that already reached the server may still finish and count toward your allowance. Clear recording or leave the page to remove this page’s input and results. Files you downloaded remain on your device.
